We Almost Done!

This is the last day of the challenge. We know it will never be enough in 10 days. But, the project is still going on.

Let's go around the world!

It is my husband and also my hobby to have travelling since we haven't had a baby until today. Our baby was always going with us since he was 6 weeks in the womb. He explored Jakarta by train and Palembang by plane. So, now hopefully he will be just fine when we invite him to go with us to sharpen the kinestethic intelligent.

Let's Catch the Chicken

Myblittle big boss is always excited when we run after the chicken when I carry him. He is attracted to something moving, something small, and in every detail of small thing. When he learns to crawl, he will stop when he found a little thing in front of him.

Let's learn ABC

When myvlittle big boss wanna go sleeping, it is easier for him when he is carried and sung ABCs. By being accustomed to it, when he is introduced into some letters, he will be smiling.

Let's Sing a Song!

After Maghrib, there are always some lizards lined up in the wall of the family room. When they make a noise, my little big boss will be in sudden raise his head and try to find out where the noise comes from. When he finally finds it, he will give a signal to anyone close to him. And when someone sings a song, he will prepare his hands and feet to dance according to the music.

Uncover the Learning Style

In the half of the challenge, it seems that my little big boss tries to show what his learning style tends to. He is typically kind of visual-auditory, just like his Papa. First, he is easily distracted to another interesting sound while he is doing something. Second, he is meticulous in every detail.

Learn to Crawl

Morning routine with little big boss kinda run like always. Getting up with a such humdrum ceremony, cheerfully. He woke up at dawn just like always with untranslanted bubbling like in the other morning.

He must be the first who has bathing. After taking a bath, then he had breakfast. Then he will play for a while. It merely about one or two hours. Today, I stimulate him to learn crawling. I pull up his chest sobl he can stand on his knees and hands. See what happen?

He pull up his hands, instead. And his feet show me the swimming style like a frog. Oh My God! Oh My God! We did not stop. We tried, tried, and tried again until he can afford to crawl forward.

After a while, and he is accustomed to do it, he felt tired. I put the carrier, and bring him walking around so he xan sleep. He usually sleeps for two hours, then he woke up, asked for food, played for almost 2 hours and sleep again. And repeat. And yeah, that is what is always done as morning ceremonial, almost everyday. Learning is repeating, so it will be memorizing.

Paused Challenge

The third day of the challenge. Seems that the challenge would like to stop here. The flu attacked and began worse and worse. Well, it is not a competition t compete the others, but the truly competitor is beating the enemy inside of ourselves; inconsistency.

Well the redeem will start after this. So, what do we learn today? Planning a better tomorrow.

There’s a Fish!

Some days ago I went to see a doctor. I just felt the first sign of influenza. So, the doctor gave me antibiotics and some medicines. Three days ago, all the medicines I had spent. But, I don’t know why I felt so much pain on my throat. I saw a doctor again, but unfortunately, she was not at home. Then I only made liquid booster from lemon and honey.

This morning, I felt better. I invited my little big boss went out to a convenience store about a kilometer from our house. We took a walk. We passed a fish ponds, rice fields, and stream. We chose that path to avoid sunburn.

Arriving to the pond, I stayed close and said to my little big boss, “Nio, look at that! There’s a fish! A fish! What is that? A fish!” and he was laughing. “Look at that side, Nio! There are a lot of fish! A lot of fish! What? A lot of fish!” then he was laughing more and more. Today we explored the nature.

At night, I felt my body was unwell. I put the thermometer and it showed me that it was thirty nine degrees Celsius. Okay, don’t be panic! I made a liquid booster again and consumed paracetamol. And by 11 pm, gratefully, the temperature decreased.

This is My Style, What Yours?

Little bit beat in the bush before I go directly to the point I’d like to discuss today, that I have to fight the viruses attacked my immune systems some days ago. I have a cold that makes my morning becomes mourning. I went to see the doctor this evening, but it seems that I was not permitted to have some medicine. So I made my own medicine. The rain outside made me to go to the kitchen and finally hot and spicy white curry noodle was made.

By this kinda fuel, I have my energy to fill the table to understand what the type of my learning style is. You might have a question, what is it for? Well, according to my opinion, it will ease us to learn if we know the type of our learning style. Why? Because, we will know what to do when we’re learning something and we know what we shouldn’t do. To make learning process more meaningful, let’s know what type of learner, we are. It is almost impossible when each of us only has one style of learning. It will be like a Venn diagram which one intersects another. This is mine.

Based on the table, I am 25% a visual learner, 10% auditory learner, and 65% kinesthetic learner. You can copy the template and fill yours. Then, tell me what yours?

THE RESCHEDULED AGENDA

Before we leave Jogja to Temanggung, we decided to have some refreshment. Finally Papah invited us to come to Jogja Expo Center to an event, Hobby and Toys Expo. Well, I didn’t understand the eent specifically, but let’s see what’s up there…

The interesting thing that made Papah come to the event is the GA (Give Away) that would be given by one of booth which sells Gundam Plastic Model and any kind hobby tools. The present would be given to the participant who takes photos in front of the booth with the unique pose.

Papah got an idea about that. He will bring the largest box of Gundam Plastic Model that he has, and what inside it is our little “big boss”. Another option is, he will carry our little “big boss” and having acrobatic pose in front of the booth. He won 2 of 3 Give Away, anyway. And this is the fourth. Will he get the present for now? Let’s pray for Papah. Hopefully, he got the best one.

After all arranged well, our little “big boss” slept early. And the agenda was… canceled… no… I mean, rescheduled.  What a blessing night. Then, Papah and Mamah having nasi goreng then… :D

NEW ITINERARY

Arriving Jogjakarta in Tugu Yogyakarta Train Station, we went directly to Damri ticketing agency to find some information about travel itinerary and also the cost. We found out that there is written on the banner, informed us that there is a minibus traveled directly from Tugu Yogyakarta Train Station to Temanggung and it costs IDR 75000. We confirmed about that to the customer service. But, the information that we got is different.

It is said that the route from Tugu Yogyakarta Train Station to Temanggung is no longer exist. The minibus will stop at Hotel Wisata, Magelang. Well, I thought it would be easier at first. But, the reality seems different. If we took it, it would be more difficult to find another transport option from Hotel Wisata Magelang to Temanggung. The customer service said that the only transport available from Hotel Wisata Magelang to Temanggung is taxi. But, I do believe that it would be costly if we chose that option.

So, we decided to transit to Mamih’s home in Timoho and decided to go to Temanggung on the weekend and driven by Eyang Putri’s driver. Well, the problem is solved now. Besides we try to give convenience transport option for our little “big boss”, at least we could lessen the cost.

MY FIRST TRAIN

Yay! This is the first time our little “big boss” has his first train. It was also my dream since a very long, long time ago to bring my baby with us having traveling, since both of us love traveling that much. And well, bringing baby goes with us was so challenging, just like what we had imagined, but it was more thrilling.

First, of course the luggage we bring. When I traveled alone, backpack and sling bag were enough for me. But now, see what we have! My baby was with me on the carrier, and also with cooling bag. Look what happened to Papah! He brought her backpack, mine, and royal navy overnighter which full of our little “big boss” stuff. Wow, so strong Papah! :D

Second, as our home is in the middle of nowhere of Surakarta, when we ordered online taxi, we have to wait for a quite long time. So, after we were all already ready, we needed to wait for approximately 6 minutes for the driver came to pick up.

We got on Prambanan Express from Solo Balapan train station and arrived in Tugu Yogyakarta train station. IDR 8000 for each of us, and our little “big boss” hadn’t had his ticket yet coz he’s still 6 months years old. Being with my 16,4 pounds baby, it was a free gym all along the trip.

HOME, WITH MAMAH AND PAPAH

Today is the xxth day being home with my little “big boss” in Solo because Papah has several agendas out there. Our morning routine was accustomed to distribute the task for who is able to accomplish it. For example, in the early morning, it is I who will accompany our little “big boss”, take him a bath, and feed him, while Papah has a deal with laundry and sweeping the floor.

After each of us completed the first early morning project, so it is the time for Papah to babysit our little “big boss” while I am taking a bath, cooking, and mopping the floor. Finishing them, it is the time for our little “big boss” having a nap. Then this is the time for us having breakfast. Having had breakfast together, we managed to start out to do list and accomplish it swiftly, because our quality time to engage with our own job was limited by duration of our little “big boss” time of napping. So we are always trying to do everything as fast as possible.

So, that was our humdrums. Rushed by the time but we try to enjoy it, try to minimize the drama.

TRAVELING HOME

This is the dream that we had dreamt for so long; being home three of us altogether. At 11.00 am we start our trip from Jogjakarta to Surakarta by grandma’s car. You will know how strong Mamih is, she is driving more than 60 kms in return in just a half day by herself. We are four altogether in a car. After the entire packed luggage are in and make sure there is no stuff left, we go.

In the mid way, our stomach gave a signal that we are all so starving but not to death. Then we find the nearest restaurant in Klaten. We went for KFC. Mamih and I went upstairs finding empty chair while my husband had a queue to order some menus. After we got space and waited for the lunch came, I fed our little “big boss” first. Luckily, there was a high chair for baby inside the restaurant, so he could sit by himself after finishing eating while waiting for his Mamah and Papah spent yakiniku bento and chococha float.

Gratefully, he’s so nice playing with grandma and waiting for his Mamah and Papah spending the lunch till the last bite.

PACK AND UNPACK

The smell of petrichor and the sound sleep of my baby inspired me to write again. Now the day #10 a.k.a. the last day challenge of this month, nevertheless, my writing hasn’t reached the 10th days of the challenge yet. LOL. It is also the last day of us to stay in Jogjakarta before we move to Surakarta. Another episode is waiting for us. After six months we stayed with help of our parents, we have to meet the challenges tomorrow, all by ourselves. No matter what will come afterwards we have to be ready.

And the routine before we left is packing the luggage, just like always. After we unpacked all the stuffs we brought from Temanggung to Jogjakarta, it is the time to pack again and again. Even, there were a lot of bags that we hadn’t unpacked yet from its seal. How life could be like a courier who packs and delivers the stuffs by all alone hoh… :’D

We plan to leave for Surakarta on Sunday, so Mamih could drove us till in front of the door of our home in Surakarta. Then we went before noon, so it anticipate us from possibility of rain.

IT’S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

After our little “big boss” was babysitting by my mom for 6 months approximately, I know the bounding was built so strongly. I know how my mom “babysit” not only my son, but also my dad who was still in recovery of his sickness, my sister who is still in the eleventh grade of Senior High School who still needs my mom. I know how she prepared the frozen breast milk from the freezer to the “ready-drink” milk for my baby. I know how she stayed up until in the middle of the night when my baby was sick. I know how she woke up in the middle of the night to change my baby’s pants when he had a pee or he was hungry. I know.

Then, I know that it is hard for her to say goodbye to her first grandchild, since she was longing for a baby boy, because all her children are girls. I always said to her that goodbye is not forever. It is just another word to say that we will see you again very soon. We promised that we will visit her often. There are so many technologies to keep us in touch.

OUR FIRST SIX MONTHS

It was the last day to complete the research at school. Though the online supervision is still ongoing, but the feeling would be different. I had to enter classroom by 9 am. It took about an hour to get there from Temanggung, since the locations of the schools are in Magelang. I left home by 7 am. I left our little “big boss” with my mom. But, today he was not only with her, he was accompanied by Papah and his Onty too… 6 months of the toughest days… I left him for a half day or 4 days for the longest. It’s hard thou. But I am pretty sure it won’t either last forever or any longer. It’s soon to be ended. We would be three altogether, as soon as my academic project ended.

Gratefully, our little “big boss” was not spoiled at all. When he was with his grandma and I was not able to be with him all day. He almost never cried for any reason. That’s the thing that can’t be replaced by anything. It was six months with no drama. And this is chapter one; 6 months living in Temanggung. Tomorrow, we will start our new chapter, living in another bigger city located in the other province. Well, we have to pack our stuffs right now. We will come back with another story in our new chapter tomorrow insyaallah.

WHEN THE TIME (ALMOST) COMES!

It was November 2nd. It means that my research project must be done within 24 hours. No more addition time! It’s a fixed price, no bargaining. Well, time management is also a big deal for me, up to now. What a day! There were still un-ironed clothes, laundry, un-swept floor, un-changed bedcover! Me, myself was too overcrowded with the questionnaire sheet for my research project, schedule for the conference, un-fixed paper, the content of media, the schedule to visit schools out of town for my research project,  packing the goods to bring, and of course babysit my one and only. Oh, please don’t look at me coz I believe I’d be like a hobo.

That day, Papah came and picked us up to move to Jogja by 4th and stayed there for a week. Oh, Papah, so sorry for the mess… Please Papah please, I’ll treat you nas igoreng mawut, then… :D

LET’S START THE PROJECT!

After merely a century this blog inactive, finally I’ve got my chance to activate it again. As it is stated on the site itself, “Educate the Nation”, the theme of my every single post wouldn’t be too far from that kind of thing. The different is… I used to post about the life of people’s child. But now, I’d like to post about the life of my own child. Family is the smallest organization of a nation, isn’t it? Welcome back to another uniqueness of the other world of mine.

My first post after a while would be about a challenge from IIP (Institute Ibu Professional). Wanna know more about this community? Search it on Google and directly go to its official website. You’ll find it!

Well, about the 3rd game challenge with the grand theme: Family Project. This project would be specifically about multiple intelligence. The subject of this project would be all the member of my family. As well as it is said. And the objective of this project is how we can survive and overcome the problem that we face. And why I write this project in English? Lemme let you know…

As the target of this project is all about “Problem Solving”, each member has their own specific goal.
1.   Mamah; (re)-Master her English both spoken and written to prepare the conference
2.   Papah; Babysit Nio while mom is away (?)
3.   Nio; Adapt to the new environment as we move from 3 towns during a week

Well, here we go!
